Energy. It defines our universe and our lives. Yet as the first law of thermodynamics makes clear, energy is never destroyed. It only changes to a different state of matter. Beyond life, there is death. But death is only the beginning as the energy of life becomes a different state of understanding and leads to revelation.

Dr. Logan Rainell confronts a deadly syndrome that threatens to consume the world. But when he begins to see auras and energy fields around the sick and healthy, he discovers a cure that may have been with us all along.

A story of unconditional love, heartbreak, loss, and the wonderful lessons we uncover in our journeys through life, The First Law is a novel that will make you laugh, cry, ponder wisdom, and ultimately feel hope for the evolution of humanity and Earth.

"A visionary of fine and startling talent, Richard Ragle is a writer to watch. Intensely moving and compassionate, The First Law is groundbreaking; it is more than a book to read and set aside. It weaves a sunrise sky in which your soul can soar and catch fire with passion and revelation. And like a deep draught of water for the parched spirit, this is a book with the power to heal and touch lives. It did mine. It will do the same for you."

~Michelle Izmaylov, award-winning author of The Galacteran Legacy Galaxy Watch

The First Law edition by Richard L Ragle Literature Fiction eBooks

It seemed that this was written by an amateur writer wishing to express his genuine beliefs from a new age viewpoint of human energy interaction, afterlife, and a hopeful human extended future. The basics are visualization of energy auras and spiritual growth through population reduction of an over-populated earth and male-female spiritual bonding. It seemed to have a good heart and intent behind the writing (which was just "OK"), but there were two things I really had a problem with. the first was that there is a clearly limited amount of spiritual energy available on this planet; that spiritual energy comes from a finite source. It seemed clear he believes God just gets tapped out so it's necessary to reduce the number of people draining the pipes. I get the idea of the terrible ecological destruction from over population, but certainly not that our spiritual source of energy is running dry. I don't buy that at all. The other problematic issue is that the book seemed to imply that spiritual growth results from sexual, spiritual, emotional bonding of man and woman, spiraling into a beautiful joining of Yin and Yang. Nice. But I'm gay. I guess that means my entire life is a complete waste, even though I'm a deeply spiritual person. He never gave any indication of hope for spiritual development other than as the result of sexually driven attraction between the opposite sexes leading to a spiritual union that would boost you forward. If you're a heterosexual, this is a wonderful book to read, hence the four stars. If you're not, don't read it without a bottle of cyanide and a prayer you might be lucky enough to come back as a straight person so you're life might have some point.

The First Law edition by Richard L Ragle Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The First Law is a fascinating, enjoyable read! It's a wonderful work of imagination that will transport you into the depths of yourself and the wonderful potential and possibilities that lay within. I could feel the future coming; where all are one in love and relationship.
The book itself was amazing, but the idea behind it was even more. What defines us? Why can some friendships transcend lifetimes? What makes us, us? As the fictional world is healed, so is our own. A must-read for anyone, even if this isn't the type of novel you'd usually consider.
Amazed,
Nicole Izmaylov
"The First Law" kept me on my toes. It was thrilling, with my own spiritual healing the payoff. The more I read, the more healing I received while the excitement grew, which is an interesting combination. I find it curious how mere words placed in a specific order have power to change my outlook and hence heal my wounds.

This book is a gift in a confused, frightening world. I have hope we humans will make the choice we make in the book and grow into love.

Love is eternal...
A story that covers energy transformation, love, death, role of auras, how the souls go through lifetimes to learn the lessons. It offers very interesting perspective and seem to align with the teachings of Ayurveda.
Don't bother to read this book. A total waste of time. A novel with the premise that we'll all be better once everyone dies off.
The first 8 people to have reviewed the book must have been friends and/or family members. Either that or they were paid.
This was undoubtedly one of the worst books I have ever read. Although I would imagine the author was earnest in his attempt to convince readers of the goodness of love, the story he created to do so was so ridiculous that the story seems to be a parody of itself. He is not a good writer, so one could not even find much pleasure in his prose. Anyone committed to reading this book, will find themselves skimming through it rather than having to read through the same idea in a slightly different form over and over. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
